EGX ends Tuesday in green

ArabFinance: Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) turned to gains on Tuesday.

The benchmark index EGX30 increased 0.85% to close at 14.024.15 points; the small and medium-sized enterprises index EGX70 inched up 0.06% to close at 621.03 points; and the broader index EGX100 edged up 0.17% to close at 1,579.45 points.

Trading volume reached 85 million shares, with a total value of EGP 462 million over 13,069 trades. Market capitalization amounted to EGP 766 billion.

Today, the gainers reached 62 companies of the total listed stocks (168), while decliners were 52 companies, and unchanged were amounting to 54 companies.

Egyptian investors made 60.6% of today's action, while Arab investors recorded 4.52% and foreign investors made 34.89%.

Egyptian investors were net buyers by EGP 14 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers by EGP 8.7 million and EGP 5.46 million, respectively.

Individuals made 38.6% of trades, versus 61.39% by Institutions.

Moreover, the volume leaders were led by Orascom Investment Holding (OIH), which rose 2.13% to close at EGP 0.52, with 19.5 million shares in volume.

Global Telecom Holding’s S.A.E. (GTHE) came second, adding 0.87% to close at EGP 4.5, with 17 million shares in volume.

This was followed by Qalaa Holdings (CCAP) that increased 1.79% and closed at EGP 3.35, with 6.66 million shares in volume.

Egyptian Resorts Company (EGTS) decreased 1.58% and closed at EGP 1.85, with 3.9 million shares in volume, followed by Palm Hills Developments S.A.E. (PHDC) which went up 0.8% to close at EGP 2.37 and 2.5 million shares in volume.
